About
MEET JENNY, MIKE, AND FAMILY.

It was Autumn of 2014, when Jenny and Mike met on a blind date in New York City. Now years and many chapters later, their passion for plants, nature, and animals have amassed to Lily Pad Acres.
While Jenny’s journey has been one of many titles, being one with nature is her most cherished title of all. Daughter of artist Diane Alec Smith, she inherited her mother’s aptness for art and color theory. Jenny expresses her creative intelligence through flower arranging. Her florals are designed with organic notions, whimsical energy and abundant with the movement of wildflowers. An encyclopedia of cut flower and farming knowledge, Jenny has a keen interest in growing and utilizing highly aromatic and edible flowers to elevate your memories made around her flowers. She has also amassed a collection of rare dahlias, which are her pride and joy of the farm.
Mike is the backbone of Lily Pad Acres, and Jenny’s sturdy shoulder. He holds the many titles of a farm manager, which include but are not limited to; master mechanic, plumber, electrician, woodworker, livestock manager, groundskeeper, lead harvester, and ripest tomato picker.
Jenny and Mike can not take all the credit for the farm’s success. It was the original vision and work of Diane & Randy Smith who brought Lily Pad Acres from a retired potato farm to where we are today.Together as a family, we’ve curated a space of wonder where farming meets nature, effortlessly.
